Translational Research Institute

The Translational Research Institute (TRI) is a unique, Australian-first initiative of ‘bench to bedside’ medical research. TRI combines clinical, scientific and industry research to advance laboratory discoveries to applications within the community.
Supported by a grant from the Australian and Queensland Governments, and situated next to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital, TRI houses the research intellect and capability of Queensland Health, Queensland University of Technology, The University of Queensland and Mater Research.
TRI was founded off the back of one of Australia’s most successful translational research projects in immunotherapy, the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine known as Gardasil.
