Nick Anstey established the Global Health Program at Menzies School of Health Research in 1996. He has worked with partners in Indonesia and Malaysia on P. vivax for over 25 years, with research spanning the epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of vivax malaria.
